Ojibwe's dat to day activities
Woman made storage baskets with inner and outer birch bark. Ojibwe made there homes beside lakes and streams on the north were the sun rises over Mille Lacs lake.(the largest lake in north Minnesota) Ojibwe lived in wigwams made of saplings, lashed and covered, and topped with sheets of Birch bark or read. They can easily be set up in the woods. They ground corn, collected and used wild plants and crops for recipes. They also tapped trunks in the woodlands. Families set up sugar camps in the spring. |
